Gemma Collins has made "amazing” adjustments to her lifestyle after she became “very unwell” while filming a new TV series.
The former The Only Way is Essex star was struck by a mystery illness while filming the new series More Than Daffs and Taff in Wales, which will see her explore her Welsh heritage. The 41-year-old said she would not wish the situation on her worst enemy after falling to the ground and almost having to be rushed to hospital by fiancé Rami Hawash.
Speaking to OK!, Gemma revealed the episode was eventually attributed to a virus. She said: “My workload has been a lot, but I've had a virus. I've been really, really, really unwell.

“I have been so ill I cannot tell you. I literally had to film in Wales and I was very unwell.
She also revealed she had to be put on a drip after a doctor was called out to assess her. Gemma said: “I had to call the doctor out and the doctor said to me, ‘Look, I'm going to give you medicine but I actually think this is a virus and it’s not going to work,’
“I've been on drips. Rami nearly had to take me to hospital because I was collapsing on the floor.
“Literally, it was really, really bad. Whatever I've had, it’s been awful.”
After the scare, Gemma said she has altered her diet in an attempt to be kinder to her body, as well as being more environmentally friendly. She said just small changes like cutting down on meat have made an “amazing, significant impact” and have been “life changing.”
Gemma, who says she “loves her body” following her diet change, is being helped back to full strength by spending time at home with car repair shop owner Rami, 49, and her mum Joan.
