She was all set to break a leg when she took to the stage in Chicago.
But unlucky Gemma Collins has gone and damaged her knee instead, putting an end to her musical dreams... for now.
The former TOWIE star was forced to pull out of the UK tour, which starts in Sunderland on May 31, after aggravating an old Dancing On Ice injury.
Gemma, 41, needed ice-cold cryotherapy treatment to bring down the swelling on her knee after it ballooned during rehearsals for her role as jail warden Matron “Mama” Morton.
A friend of Gemma’s said: “She had done so much work for so many months and the producers were really impressed.
“But this old injury just keeps flaring up. She is incredibly upset but is determined that she’ll be back on a musical stage one day when she’s recovered.”
Gemma is now looking into long-term treatment and the possibility of surgery on her knee.
The friend said: “There’s no chance of returning later in the run with an injury like this. And it just would not be fair to the show.”
The star has been documenting her knee pain with her Instagram followers.
"Early morning session for my knee. I can't describe the pain," the star captioned a video of herself receiving a treatment at Ice Health Cryotherapy Spa on Tuesday morning.
"The swelling is next level," Gemma continued, sharing a snap of her sore-looking knee with her 2.2million followers.
She later added: "My leg has ballooned with my knee. Hopefully this will take the swelling down."
Viewers watched in horror as Gemma face-planted the ice during a performance with professional partner Matt Evers on Dancing on Ice in 2019.
"Gemma's legs terrible, look," the star's then-boyfriend James Argent told his Instagram followers at the time.
"All round her knees, they're in a bad, bad way."
Earlier this month, the TV personality confirmed her wedding is on hold as she and fiancé Rami Hawash are currently trying for a baby.
She told The Sun she would 'rest' over the summer to 'make a baby' - which includes postponing her nuptials and taking a six-month break from showbiz.
"I can’t wait until the 1st of August because then I can totally relax," she said. "I’ve not got a day off until then."
"We are getting to that point where we need to concentrate on having a baby.
"I really want to just rest after August and spend time with Rami and make the baby. I’ve given myself a six month window."
