Gemma Collins cuts out entire food group from diet after 'receiving her calling'

Gemma Collins has made a huge change to her diet after receiving her calling while in Dubai.

The former TOWIE star has opened up about struggling when it comes to exercise but has changed her diet instead.

The 42-year-old said her weight will always be an "ongoing issue", saying that she "still looks good".

She said she hates the gym but has now opted for a vegan diet after what someone said to her while she was in Dubai.

Gemma said that she tends to prefer to do more outdoor exercise such as walking as she needs to be "motivated by nature".

Speaking to The Sun, Gemma said: "I wouldn’t say there has been major struggles when it comes to my weight, its more everyday fitness things.

"I’ll be honest and say I can’t stand the gym. I’m more of an outdoorsy girl, swimming, walking, bike riding – I need to be motivated by nature when I’m exercising.

"I am quite fit, don’t get me wrong I can’t run a marathon, but I certainly think I could walk one. I choose to be healthy."

Gemma made a major change to her food choices, cutting out meat and eating a vegan diet which she said has made her feel "better than ever".

She said: "A few years ago, I was in Dubai and I believe things happen for a reason.

"This guy came up to me out of nowhere tapped me on the shoulder and said, 'you need to stop eating meat, you need to stop eating meat'."

Gemma went on to explain that she believes the moment was a "sign" and that she needed to stop eating meat.

She now says she feels "most settled" after making the change but she did struggle in the beginning.

At first she said she didn't really know what to eat which left her making "boiled pasta with cauliflower" but now she's more clued up.

Gemma noted that changing to a vegan diet "does take time" due to getting used to making vegan versions of recipes.

She also mentioned that she doesn't tend to get stomach troubles anymore.
