Gemma Collins appeared to take a swipe at James Argent on her new podcast during a segment in which she warned her listeners about 'red flags' in relationships.
The reality TV star, 41, had an on-off relationship with Arg, 34, for many years after meeting on The Only Way is Essex - having ended their romance most recently in 2020.
The former couple have been open about having faced some challenges whilst they were together, including Arg having battled with a drug addiction in previous years.
She seemed to reference the experience during a recent episode of The Gemma Collins Podcast, whilst talking about 'red flags' that people may notice in their relationships.
Whilst discussing 'red flags', she commented: "Physical, emotional or mental abuse is not acceptable." And in what appeared to be a reference to ex-boyfriend Arg, she added: "Substance abuse in a relationship is not acceptable".
A source close to Gemma has however told us that the comment wasn't specifically about Arg. They said: "She wasn't talking about anyone in particular".
The source added that Gemma was outlining as many different red flags as possible and said that the reality TV star was speaking "generally".
Arg has been open about having previously had a years-long battle with cocaine addiction and once praised Gemma for having not enabled his addiction whilst together.
She has previously spoken about Arg having experienced addiction during their relationship, with her saying that it had been "distressing" and impacted on her own life.

She further spoke about the past relationship whilst appearing on Piers Morgan's Life Stories last year, which saw her become emotional talking about her ex Arg.
Gemma said she'd been "really happy" with Arg but drugs "changed him as a person". She said the breakdown of the relationship left her considering taking her own life.
Listeners of her new podcast were also warned that other red flags may include excessive jealousy, frequent lying, unwillingness to compromise, gaslighting and narcissism.
She recalled one ex-partner lying about having a KFC, which she said was "weird". Gemma said she also had experience with men who had been "put off" by her success.
The first two episodes of NEW: The Gemma Collins Podcast, hosted on Acast, are available via audio streaming services.
