Gemma Chan brought an artful approach to red-carpet dressing at the Josephine screening during the 2026 BFI London Film Festival. Held at Curzon Soho in London on Tuesday, October 13, the event saw the actor wear a richly printed Dries Van Noten dress that put color, pattern and draping at the center of the look.
As reported by Harper's Bazaar, Chan wore a long dress featuring an enlarged Flemish painting print, a high neckline and a twisted knot detail at the waist. The design offered a distinctive take on eveningwear, allowing the artwork to make a statement without relying on heavy embellishment.
The look was completed with dangling Cartier earrings and a deliberately undone braid. Stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray was credited with putting the ensemble together by Red Carpet Fashion Awards.
