Gemma Atkinson is not shy when it comes to being honest with her social media followers and therefore her latest post about her home was no different. The Bury-born Hits Radio host took to her Instagram Story just days before Christmas.
She took to the social media platform to give her millions of followers an honest look at her Greater Manchester abode with fiancé Gorka Marquez back home after Strictly Come Dancing and their daughter Mia who will be out of nursery and eagerly waiting for Santa's arrival this weekend.
Posting a video of what was her then situation, Gemma, 38, was situated on an exercise bike in her front room while Mia, three, sat on the sofa watching TV and Gorka, 32, had his yoga matt out and was partaking in some stretches just below the TV his daughter was watching.
"House is on its a**e," Gemma penned alongside the video clip with a crying laughing emoji. "He's watching Spanish news, Mia's watching Peppa. I'm watching the clock on the bike going SO slow!" It came before Gorka gave fans a peek at a new addition to their home.
The couple, who met on Strictly in 2017 and got engaged last year on Valentine's Day, have had their own Sauna installed in their back garden which boasts views of sprawling green fields with sheep.
Gorka showed of the new addition to the garden on his Instagram Story. "I don't know if you guys remember but a few months back we started to build our sauna which is finally completed," the Spanish dancer said to the camera as he stood outside the wooden pod.
As he gave his followers a glimpse inside, Gorka ended up getting a bit hot as he wore a hoodie while getting their new snazzy contraption warmed up ready to use.
Earlier this month Gemma teased her latest wedding plans suggesting this may be her last Christmas as a fiancée. The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks actress and Gorka are nearing their fifth anniversary after meeting when Gemma took part in the BBC One dance contest.
Love blossomed behind the scenes for the pair as Gemma made it to the final with Aljaž Škorjanec and Gorka with former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke. However, the loved-up couple didn't confirm their relationship until the following year, following the end of the Strictly live tour which took in arenas across the country.
Speaking about her and Gorka's Christmas plans, the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star shared how she plans to take a break to be with her man and their little girl, who turned three over the summer. "I will definitely take a break over Christmas. For me it's really important to take a break, even if that means just sitting on the couch eating chocolate over Christmas, it's fine.
"I just think quality time with your family is a must and I don't think there's a better time to do it than at Christmas really. Even if it's cold and snowy everyone seems to be in a good mood and Christmas is definitely my favourite time of the year."
She went on to say: "This Christmas we’re at my mum’s on Christmas Day, which I love, and then hopefully we’ll get to go Spain between Christmas and New Year to see Gorka’s family, because Mia’s got her Abuelo and Abuela out there, Nana and Gran Gran here. So yes, just a good old traditional family Christmas all-round really. I can't wait to be honest – too much food and not enough sleep, but you know, that's what we all love about Christmas!"
