Gemma Atkinson has shared a glimpse from inside the beautiful 'surprise' break she enjoyed with her family. The Hits Radio host revealed earlier this week that she had enjoyed a "lovely and cosy" getaway in a "hidden gem" in the Lake District.
She showed off her and her family Gorka Marquez and daughter Mia's home for a few days which just so happened to be a calming treehouse in the middle of a forest. "He told me to pack a bag and walking boots and expect a treehouse," Gemma said alongside a selfie of her and her Strictly Come Dancing star fiancé.
The 37-year-old added: "That was all I knew. The rest was a surprise." The family of three then went on to have the 'best' time in the Lake District, a place Gemma says they 'love'.
The couple, who got engaged on Valentine's Day last year, have since shared snaps and montages of their trip to their individual Instagram profiles. "Forever my adventure team," Gemma captioned a series of snap to her millions of followers.
"I know one day you won’t ask me about frogs in the river, or why slugs move slow, and you most definitely won’t want to sit on my knee sailing a boat," she went on to share as if talking to her little girl, who turned three earlier this month. "So until those days arrive, I’m going to continue flooding your imagination with adventures in nature, knowledge, fun and wonder."
The images showed the mother and daughter enjoying a wander in the woods before taking to the water on their own boat to take in the stunning surroundings the Lakes has to offer. And Gemma's post struck a chord with many of her followers.

Gorka shared a video full of images with his followers, set to The Chnage track 'My Home'. Perfect weekend away in the woods with my girls@glouiseatkinson," he penned. "Lots of games, walks, exploring and ice cream."
It now appears the family are heading off again but this time to a more exotic location. Former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Gemme revealed they are heading off to Spain to see Gorka's family after the coronavirs pandemic kept them away for two years meaning little Mia has gone from a baby to a toddler in between.
Gemma spoke of Gorka's family in an interview with the Manchester Evening News earlier this year. When responded to claims the couple had postponed their wedding., Gemma said: “Gorka’s family are in Spain and the Spanish lockdown rules are quite strict at the minute and we want all of his family to be able to come.
"So we are umming and ahhing with doing it in Spain or doing it in Manchester so we’re thinking maybe next July. We’re just not sure over here or in Spain yet. We’re just waiting to see what works best for all his family. None of them speak English so I at least want them to be able to order a drink which they won’t be able to do. They’re from Bilboa and we’ve not been over a lot really."
