Gemma Atkinson made the most of her early morning by getting out to witness the stunning sunrise that swept across Greater Manchester on Monday morning (October 3). The Hits Radio host, from Bury, looked gorgeous as she posed for a post-workout selfie with her fiancé Gorka Marquez.
Gemma and her Strictly Come Dancing star beau was up and at it as they headed out to their home gym early this morning. The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star looked fresh-faced as she smiled for the camera as Gorka also flashed a smile with the burnt orange sky on display in the background.
"Workouts done," Gemma, 37, typed alongside a tick emoji. "Caught the sunrise with a brew as well," she happily added. It comes after she shared a positive update after telling her loyal followers about her 'horrible month'.
Over the weekend the mum-of-one told her Instagram followers she had a smear test scare. Former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress Gemma, 37, spoke about her 'horrible' month after being 'full of worry' after having cervical screening, which checks the health of the cervix to help prevent cancer.
She was told "they weren't happy" with the results so she then underwent a colposcopy, a test to take a closer look at the cervix, the opening between the vagina and the womb. Luckily, Gemma was relieved to be told immediately that 'everything was fine' and has urged fans not to worry if they're also invited for the same prsecdure.
"Wanted to keep it real with you lot on here as it's always like having an extended family. It's been a bloody horrible month," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "Early Sept I had to have a colposcopy from smear results that they weren't happy with. Thankfully everything was fine. No issues at all but the build up to waiting wasn't so great. I think we automatically assume the worst as humans don't we!"
In a separate video she addressed the experience, saying: "It's nothing painful at all." She told her followers: "It's just pressure. It's definitely worth having it done. So 100-per-cent have it done. Don't worry." She added: "I say 'don't worry' a lot for someone who was full of worry. It was fine she told me then and there."
But it wasn't just her own health she was worried about. Gemma shared how she had to rush one of her beloved pet dogs, Norman, to the vets after his 'breathing went funny'. She explained how he too was found to have an infection and that the enzymes in his liver were found to be 'too high'.
She shared how he had been placed on antibiotics and well return to the vets for a scan this week. "It's safe to say I'm glad to see the back of Sept," Gemma also typed in her honest message to her millions of followers. On Sunday evening, however, she did share some positive words.
As she filmed a video in her back garden showing her Buddha on the decking next to the luscious green field and the sun setting, she shared: "New week tomorrow. Carrying on the new month. Feeling ready to get mack to my routines. My training. My good vibes."
