Gemma Atkinson shared an honest two-word verdict on how she has been feeling during the current heatwave as she nears the end of her second pregnancy. The Hits Radio host is preparing to welcome her second child any day now after announcing she was expecting earlier this year.
Gemma, from Bury, and her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance Gorka Marquez confirmed the joyous news in January and confirmed that are planning to welcome a baby boy into the world this summer after Gemma gave birth to their first child, daughter Mia, back in 2019.
And after keeping her fans and followers updated with her second pregnancy, last month, the 38-year-old finally shared how she'd reached the time of her maternity leave as she presented her last show on Hits Radio with her pal and co-host Mike Toolan.

After finishing up her show, Gemma took to Instagram and in her usual tongue-in-cheeky style, the mum-of-two-to-be shared a clip from The Hangover and wrote: "Final show done. Officially on maternity leave! And that’s how I’ve just left producer Matt and @miketoolan in the studio carpark," alongside a crying laughing emoji.
She then confirmed that her exit isn't permanent as she added: "I’ll be back on air with the gang in the new year, but until then, enjoy! And thanks for tuning in."
Despite being on maternity leave, Gemma has found herself being kept busy with other projects before her son's arrival but on Thursday (June 15), she managed to take some time out to enjoyed a catch-up with Mike, who has since been hosting their Drivetime show with former Corrie star Brooke Vincent.
And Mike wasted no time in exposing the reality of their time together as they headed out for lunch. Filming his fellow radio star as they sat down outside in the beaming sun, Mike was heard asking: "What have we got Gem?" to which the heavily pregnant star replied as she pointed out some marks on her white top: "We've got brow sweat, underboob sweat, smashed avaocdo..."
As Mike replied: "It's wonderful," Gemma candidly gave a two-word verdict as she said: "I'm f****d." Her pal then said: "Isn't pregnancy the most wonderful thing." He also typed alongside the video posted to his Instagram Story: "The pure joy of pregnancy," as Gemma was seen at the end of the video struggling in the warm temperatures.
Gemma then reshared the clip to her own Instagram Story as she typed to her millions of followers: "And seemingly a [camel and foot emoji] as well," adding a crying laughing face and face palm emoji. But that wasn't the end of Mike's hilarious exposé on their reunion.
Sat back in his car, he said to the camera: "Well I've just had a really interesting catch-up with Gemma, as you may have seen, who lactated all the way through her scrambled egg. On the left of us was a funeral home with mourners coming in and out and on the right of us, the table right next to us, was a woman who just cried throughout the entire meal. It was like the least relaxing brunch I've ever had in my life."
Again sharing the video herself, former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Gemma said: "Pleasure was all mine Tools [crying laughing emoji]. And that poor lady! Hope she was ok bless her. As my mum always says, 'they aren't worth your tears'."
