Gemma Atkinson has addressed fans after they frantically Googled her love life in the hope of getting some answers. They were hoping to find out who she was dating before falling in love with Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez.
The Hits Radio host and Spanish dancer met on the BBC One dance show in 2017. They both made it all the way to the final with their respective partners, Aljaž Škorjanec and Alexandra Burke, and early the following year headed out on the show's live tour which visits arenas across the country.
And it was then that love is believed to have officially blossomed between the pair as they travelled across the country together. Since then the pair have welcomed their first child together, daughter Mia, who was born in July 2019, and are set to welcome their second child, a baby boy, into the world this summer.

Gemma, 38, and Gorka, 32, are also engaged after Gorka popped the question on Valentine's Day in 2021. But during a recent appearance on her Hits Radio show, Gemma opened up about a guy she was seeing before Gorka - and how she discovered he was cheating on her.
"You once caught one of your exes cheating on you," Mike Toolan, Gemma's co-host, said before Gemma confirmed: "I did. It wasn't that long ago. It was my fella before Gorka." Going on to explain what happened, the TV and radio star, from Bury, said: "We went on holiday."
"We met in the Bahamas and while we were there I took a picture of a sunset because it was a really lovely sunset and I put it on my Instagram, thinking nothing of it." She went on: "He put the same picture as his WhatsApp profile picture and a few days after that, I got a message on Instagram from this girl.
"She was just like, 'Woman to woman, can I just ask you, was you with such a body recently?' She said 'because my boyfriend told me he was in Florida with the lads and the picture you put on your Instagram, he's put as his WhatsApp picture'. I obviously replied and was like, 'Yeah!' Like, 'who are you?' type of thing and she'd been seeing him for years as well.
"So I obviously rung up and was like, 'You've got two minutes to tell me who this person is and what the heck is going on.' Of course, he went all quiet. Confessed in the end. Bless her, she stayed with him which I said 'don't! No, let's both go into the sunset together.'"
And Gemma was clearly being messaged after she shared the post to her Instagram Story and said: "True Story," as she later shared one that she had received. Sharing the screengrab on her Instagram Story, it read: "People gonna be googling 'who was Gemma Atkinson with before Gorka'," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis.
She then replied: "Had lots of these [crying laughing emoji]. We kept it secret thought so this one ain't on Google thankfully." The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star then added: "In all seriousness though, part of the reason I love my job on the radio is no matter what the topic (like cheating for example) the calls and texts we get on air and the guests we have on all sharing similar stories make it nice to know we've all at some point been sh*t on, all winging it at like, and all just plodding on regardless hoping for the best.
"Our listeners are like our extended family, it's wonderful," she rounded off her post. And that is probably why she confirmed that she will 'definitely' be returning to her job on the radio after welcoming her second child into the world.
"Technically, your second can come quicker so I need to be prepared from early June really," she said when asked by Mike how long they've got her for before she needs to head off to prepare for her son's arrival. But Mike was keen to know how long she'll still be at work for - and if she'll be coming back. "May/June but if you get on my nerves, I could leave, I guess, in two weeks if I wanted to."
She then laughed and said: "Can you imagine? 'I'm going on maternity leave six months in advance.'" Mike then said: "I would miss you and you are coming back on this show?" To which Gemma honestly replied: "Definitely! I will definitely, definitely, come back but I just have to, you know, get a human out of me first," as laughter rang out again.
It comes after Gemma said she will be considering a prenup before marrying Gorka. Appearing on Steph's Packed Lunch on Tuesday (January 31), fellow guest Denise Van Outed was asked whether she’s had those conversations with her partner Jimmy Barba, following her split from ex Eddie Boxshall.
"From 15 to 33 before I met Gorka, everything I got for myself during that time like properties, which is all still mine, still in my name. With living together with Gorka, and especially having Mia, we split everything 50/50," Gemma shared. "It’s kind of like, at a certain point in the month, Gorka transfers 50% of the mortgage, the bills, nursery fees, and the following day it goes out of my account to all the people we need to pay.
"It’s the same for him. He’s had his dance career since he was 16 and he’s got stuff in Spain that’s nothing to do with me. We’ve said anything he’s got from before meeting me and I’ve got from before meeting him, that’s ours. Anything now is our family’s."
She added: "But if we were to get married, we would do the prenup as well. Just to be sensible about it really and protect Mia more than anybody."
