More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade have been recalled after the drinks were found to contain undeclared food dyes that could cause adverse health effects.
The recall was initiated by manufacturer PepsiCo on September 25 and classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on October 2 after the issue was discovered. The FDA noted that potential side effects from consuming the drinks could include a mild rash or allergic-type asthma, though those reactions are more typical of people who have allergic reactions to aspirin.
