Scots star Greg McHugh from Gary: Tank Commander says he got asked for a selfie while lowering his gran's coffin.
The actor was appearing on a new BBC show when he revealed how a distant relative approached him at the funeral and made the bizarre request.
Greg revealed that the man, who he didn't recognise, said they could do it after the service as the funny man was still holding the rope attached to the coffin at the time.
The 42-year-old star picked the incident as his "worst ever celebrity moment" while appearing on BBC Scotland show The Good, The Bad and The Unexpected.
He said: "I'm not ungrateful about people asking for selfies. It's all very part of the business and I, for the most part, enjoy that.
"However, and this is absolutely true, at my gran's funeral as I was holding the rope in position a very distant relative, who I did not recognise, whispered: 'Do you mind if we get a selfie?'.
Mini-pause then he says 'After this,' as if 'I'm not being a maniac.'
"So yeah, someone asked me for a selfie graveside. As if it wasn't creepy enough. Just think about the timing."
Greg found fame playing camp Corporal Gary McLintoch in the BBC Scotland series, which ran for three series on BBC Scotland.
He has also played the role in pantomime and in his own stage show.
The actor has also had parts in Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat and BBC drama Guilt.
The Good, The Bad and The Unexpected is available on BBC iPlayer.
