Gary Neville has labelled LaLiga "corrupt" and told Spanish football chiefs to "do one" following their extraordinary response to Kylian Mbappe 's decision to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
The French sensation has signed a new and groundbreaking three-year contract with the club, having previously been set to depart for LaLiga giants Real Madrid when his old deal expired in June. Mbappe's u-turn, confirmed shortly before he scored a perfectly-timed hat-trick as PSG hammered Metz 5-0 at the Parc des Princes, has left Spanish bigwigs fuming. In a lengthy statement, LaLiga described the situation as "scandalous" and confirmed that a complaint will be filed to UEFA among other authorities.
Neville, however, took aim at them and tweeted: "LaLiga can do one! As corrupt as the rest." The former Manchester United captain, who took part in a legends charity match on Saturday, spent four months working in Spain as manager of Valencia six years ago.
