Gary Neville believes Trent Alexander-Arnold needs to address the defensive imbalance in his play if he is to reach his full potential.
The Liverpool full-back's form came under fresh scrutiny following his performance in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Brighton at Anfield. Alexander-Arnold was by no means the only Reds player to blame for another lacklustre defensive display, with Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson also worryingly out of sorts for all three goals scored by Leandro Trossard
But, following his omission from the England matchday squad to face Germany last week, the right-back is once again under the spotlight. Neville, who played in the same position for Manchester United and England, believes Alexander-Arnold needs to work on his defensive issues and re-balance his overall play.
