Gary Neville believes the €127million (£112million) Chelsea are reportedly set to pay Benfica for Enzo Fernandez is "one hell of a price" and he thinks the club will be overpaying.
football.london understands Chelsea are close to signing the Argentine midfielder, who played a starring role in his country's recent World Cup triumph in Qatar. The 21-year-old has had plenty of interest in him since the competition, but it looks as if he is edging closer to a move to Stamford Bridge as Graham Potter looks to bolster his midfield options.
It's understood Fernandez wants the move to Chelsea and personal terms are not thought to be an issue. The Blues want to pay the huge £112million fee in numerous instalments as they look to stay in line with UEFA's Financial Fair Play policy.
