Gary Neville reveals favourite for Champions League qualification following Man United vs Spurs

Gary Neville has claimed Arsenal are the favourites to finish in the Premier League top-four ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The latter two sides played out a five-goal thriller on Saturday evening, with the Red Devils securing a 3-2 victory thanks to a hat-trick from Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ralf Rangnick's men now sit in fourth place, two points ahead of Arsenal, although Mikel Arteta's side have four games in hand on their rivals, starting with Sunday afternoon's clash against Leicester City.

Now, Neville has spoken about United's inconsistencies this season whilst admitting that the Gunners are favourites to finish ahead of his old side in the race for fourth.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville said: "They’ve (United) been doing it all season, they’ve been on and off in games playing moments then they go bad, then come alive, great goal goes in.

"They’re so inconsistent and you can’t rely on them. Before the game, you see how are Man United going to do, you haven’t got a clue.

"You know they’re going to concede chances, concede goals, De Gea might make three or four saves or might let one through his legs and they lose the game, you don’t know.

"It could’ve easily been the other way and a Tottenham victory.

"They got over the line, it’s a big one, Arsenal playing tomorrow (Sunday), Arsenal favourites for fourth spot, it would’ve been out of sight [if United lost]."

Arteta and Co have won each of their last four league outings and will be hoping to make it five on Sunday afternoon when they host the Foxes to the Emirates Stadium, having beaten the east Midlands club 2-0 at the King Power Stadium earlier this season.
