Gary Neville believes Jurgen Klopp was, for the first time, appearing to apologise to Liverpool fans following their side’s a comprehensive defeat away to Wolves on Saturday.
Joel Matip’s own goal set up a miserable afternoon for the Reds with further goals from Craig Dawson and Ruben Neves adding to their troubles. he defeat at Molineux left them 11 points adrift of the Champions League spots ahead and in danger of missing out on European qualification entirely.
Klopp appeared to be at a loss to explain where it had gone wrong for his side in Saturday’s loss as he criticised his team’s performance and lack of response to his instructions. The Reds have yet to win in the Premier League this calendar year.
