Gary Neville believes that the expectation on Nottingham Forest is "so big" due signing so many players during the summer transfer window and the clubs's owner Evangelos Marinakis having "a record of wanting to change managers".
The Reds made two dozen signings over the summer months following promotion to the Premier League after also seeing a significant number depart from the Championship play-off winning squad. Since Marinakis became owner in May 2017, Forest have changed manager five times in just under five-and-a-half years, with the latest move now more than 12 months ago when Chris Hughton was replaced by Steve Cooper.
On the pitch, former Manchester United and England defender Neville has been critical of their work at the back in their opening seven matches, having already conceded 17 goals - only Bournemouth and Leicester City have let in more. It is, though, alluded to that having to bed in such a number of players may be affecting that.
