Gary Neville has called for Diego Simeone to be considered for the Manchester United job.

Simeone masterminded a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford on Tuesday night to knock United out of the Champions League. The Atletico Madrid boss is currently not in the running for the permanent managerial position though.

Manchester Evening News understands that Erik ten Hag is favoured by the United board to become the next boss at the Theatre of Dreams. Mauricio Pochettino is also still being considered but following Ajax being knocked out of the Champions League this week, Ten Hag is considered the favourite.
