Gary Neville believes Liverpool could be about to strike a big blow against Man City

Gary Neville believes Liverpool can strike a 'big blow' to Manchester City in the Premier League title race if they were to win at Arsenal tonight. The Reds take on Champions League chasing Arsenal at the Emirates in their game in hand and a win would see them go to just one point of league leaders City.

Pep Guardiola's side played out a goalless draw on Monday night away at Crystal Palace and have opened the door for Liverpool to capitalise on the dropped points. Former Manchester United man Neville thinks Liverpool 's five forwards are the best in the Premier League and could be the difference.

"City will be watching tonight because they’ll know this is one of Liverpool’s more difficult games they’ve got left," Neville said.

When asked how big a blow Liverpool can strike, Neville answered: “A big one. I said it on Monday Night Football, those five strikers that they’ve got are the best. City haven’t scored a goal four times this season. If they don’t score a goal one or two more times then I don’t see Liverpool not scoring goals, I think they will.

"They’ve got a great defence. We know how finely tuned they are with Van Dijk and if he got injured or if Alisson got injured then they’d be in a weaker position. All being well with both teams keeping their players fit - I know Dias is out for City - I think Liverpool are in with a great chance.

"This is one of their toughest games. They’ve got Manchester United at home, but this is tougher."
