Manchester United legend Gary Neville has compared Steven McClaren’s role on Erik Ten Hag’s coaching staff to the one Brian Kidd undertook when working with Pep Guardiola.

Former England boss McClaren, who worked under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford between 1999 and 2001, will link up with the Dutchman as he begins life in Manchester.
