Manchester United legend Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have trolled Manchester City following their Champions League exit to Real Madrid.
United rivals slipped to a 3-1 defeat after extra-time at the Bernabeu in the semi-final second leg in midweek which saw them miss out on their second successive final. The result means they failed in their quest for European silverware, something the Reds still boast a significant number of.
Ahead of City's comfortable win over Newcastle United, Neville couldn't resist a dig at United's rivals. On his Instagram stories, he filmed entering the Etihad prior to kick-off saying: "I've just entered into the home of zero times Champions League.

"Down there Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher, Jamie Redknapp and Dave Jones, join us at four o'clock." The former right-back won the Champions League during his career at Old Trafford.
Jamie Carragher was also keen to rub salt into the wounds of the Blues. His former club, Liverpool, are locked in a fierce title race with Pep Guardiola's side.
He feels their failure to win the elite European competition means that they can't be classed as a "giant club", he said: "The Champions League (he would rather win vs Premier League). I said that a month ago.
"People may see it differently. But for me, the Champions League is the biggest trophy you could win. How many leagues are in Europe? The big five leagues. Five teams every year will win that league.
"There’s only one team can win the Champions League, only one. You’re not seen as a giant club until you’ve won the Champions League. It’s a fact. In terms of City owners and Guardiola, to put them up there as a super club, you’ve got to win a Champions League. You have to."
