Gary Lineker has come to the defence of Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold after having his defending questioned during the match with Tottenham Hotspur.
Ryan Sessegnon went to ground very easily after a race with Alexander-Arnold resulted in the Liverpool number 66 slightly nudging the wide man in the back.
Tottenham players surrounded referee Andy Madley once Sessegnon hit the ground, but the referee saw nothing wrong with the challenge - as did VAR.

Former England international Lineker leapt to the defence of Alexander-Arnold on Twitter, stating the 24-year-old had defended well against the Tottenham forward.
Football.Joe had tweeted: "That's probably a bit soft to get a penalty, but why does Trent even need to make any contact there."
"Because that’s what was required to ease him off the ball. Not all contact is a foul. Basic, sound defending," said Lineker.
Lineker has always expressed his love for the way Alexander-Arnold plays football and is a believer the Liverpool right-back should be in Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad.
