Gary Lineker makes Bukayo Saka transfer admission after Piers Morgan's Cristiano Ronaldo claim

The rumour mill is in full swing ahead of this summer's transfer window and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has outlined his dream Gunners front three ahead of the window with a surprising name spearheading the attack.

In light of Eddie Nketiah's recent form in front of goal, the former Good Morning Britain presenter has picked out Cristiano Ronaldo as a potential partner for the academy product. He also named Gabriel Martinelli as part of his dream Gunners front three with the surprise omission of both Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.

In a tweet published on Monday, the famous Gunner said: I’d be very happy if Arsenal’s forward line next season was @gabimartinelli @EddieNketiah9 and @Cristiano - perfect mix of youth, pace & (GOAT emoji) class talent/experience. And to those who don’t think Ronaldo would come to us, why wouldn’t he? He nearly joined us when he was 18."

Morgan's ambition for the club to sign Ronaldo, who has scored 19 Premier League goals this season might seem a touch unrealistic and he was mocked by Gary Lineker claiming that Leicester City should take Saka given that Morgan saw no place in the Arsenal team for the 20-year-old.

The Match of the Day presenter wrote in reply: "Great idea. We’ll take @BukayoSaka87 at @LCFC".

While there is some credibility in the news that Cristiano Ronaldo could be looking to leave Old Trafford this summer, a move away from the Premier League is the most likely option. Also, Saka is one of Mikel Arteta's most trusted players and would be highly unlikely to make a move away, especially to a side which is in mid-table.

It remains to be seen how Arsenal will line up next season given the long list of names linked to the club, but the chances of Morgan getting his wish granted is extremely unlikely.
