England manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed that he plans to sit down with misfiring Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford to discover the reasoning behind his recent downturn in form.
Southgate has made the admission after leaving the United academy graduate out of his squad for England's upcoming friendlies with Switzerland the Ivory Coast later this month. The Three Lions will welcome both nations to Wembley as they continue their preparations for the World Cup later this year.
However, Rashford will not be included in England's first meet-up of this calendar year after being left out of the squad. He has struggled for form in recent months and he is understood to be considering his future at Old Trafford as a result.
