England look like they will be heading to Qatar without either Fikayo Tomori or Marc Guehi, with both Chelsea academy products not having been selected by Gareth Southgate, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph report that neither player has made the squad, which could open the door for Liverpool's Joe Gomez to be handed a spot on the plane for the World Cup.
Tomori had been many fans' pick to solve England's defensive woes, with the former Chelsea star having won Serie A with AC Milan last season and impressing during his time in Italy. However, he was sent off against the Blues in the Champions League last month and was sent home from England duty ahead of their final game against Germany in September.

The decision to send Tomori home from St Georges' Park without an injury was a strong indicator that he was not in Southgate's plans for the tournament. Itt looked as though Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi could have been well placed to make the squad but he will also miss out.
In terms of defenders who will make the plane, it looks as though both Ben White and Eric Dier are well positioned to make the trip as news of Southgate's selections begins to spread ahead of the official announcement at 2pm.
