Gareth Bale put in a strong performance at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am with professional partner Joseph Bramlett..
The former Real Madrid winger and Bramlett finished with a seven-under-par 65 to finish the day tied in 18th place on the amateur leaderboard.
American Hank Lebioda shot an eight-under-par 63 to take the lead in the pro leaderboard, with Britain's Barry Hall in second with 64
Other celebrities involved as amateur partners include Hollywood actors Jason Bateman and Bill Murray, Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and rapper Macklemore.
Bale hit a hugely impressive shot from the cart path which landed within four feet of the hole, leaving the commentators in disbelief.
What is Gareth Bale's handicap?
The Welshman, who has a three hole golf course built into his back garden, plays off a handicap of two. He did previously have a handicap of "three or four" in 2020, but has improved over the past couple of years.
This handicap means that Bale is way better than your average golfer, but he's still a bit off the pace of 'scratch', which is 0. He's come a long way, as the Daily Mail reported in 2015 that he had "a respectable six".
What's his home golf course like?
The three par-three holes are modelled on high profile venues in the golfing world.
These include: 12th at Augusta, the Postage Stamp at Royal Troon and 17th at Sawgrass. The dimensions are slightly different, with the Sawgrass hole being smaller and a lot harder than the real life version. You can read more about it here.
