Gardner's MotoGP debut season "a big slap in the face"

Remy Gardner Wayne Gardner KTM Raul Fernandez Brad Binder

The Australian – son of 1987 500cc world champion Wayne Gardner – beat Ajo KTM teammate Raul Fernandez to an enthralling Moto2 crown last year and earned a promotion up to the premier class with the Austrian manufacturer.

Placed at Tech3 on factory-backed machinery alongside Fernandez, both riders have struggled for form at the start of 2022.
