The gardai have slammed those sharing images of the fatal M50 crash which are "disrespectful" to the deceased and their family.
The section of the M50 between Junction 9 and 7 was closed since the crash which caused chaos as the bank holiday traffic began to leave the city. It has since reopened.
In a tweet, the gardai said: "An Garda Síochána is aware of graphic images of today's Fatal Road Traffic collision which are being shared across social media and messaging apps. An Garda Síochána appeals to everybody, DO NOT SHARE This Material, it is disrespectful to the deceased, their family and friends."
