Over €90,000 worth of drugs has been seized and a man arrested following a garda patrol search.
As part of Operation Tara, which aims to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks at all levels, gardai were on patrol in Bray, Co Wicklow in the early hours of Friday morning when they saw a man in a car as they left a housing estate.
The man, 22, proceeded to run from the car and gardai stopped him. Upon searching the vehicle, the officers seized cannabis herb and cocaine with an estimated street value of €90,500.
The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Bray Garda station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
All of the drugs seized will now be sent for further analysis. Investigations are ongoing.
