Gardai on patrol stopped and searched a vehicle on Longmile Road in Drimnagh on Thursday evening. Officers seized the vehicle after discovering it was not taxed or insured.
They found €8,300 in cash during the search of the vehicle following which the driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested. Gardai searched the man's house under a search warrant and found cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €140,000.
