Gardai and the Criminal Assets Bureau raided 13 sites across Dublin and Meath yesterday.
The searches took place as part of the ongoing process of crime investigation targeting assets, including properties deriving in whole or in part from the proceeds of criminal activity. The Garda Emergency Response Unit, Garda Mounted Unit, Garda Dog Unit, Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit (SMVIU), Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) and Garda personnel from the Dublin Region were all involved.
Among the items found during the raids were:
• €187,000 cash
• A Rolex watch
• A Hublot watch
• A large quantity of unstamped tobacco with an estimated value of €500,000
• Documentation and electronic devices
Gardai have said further investigations into the discoveries are ongoing.
