Firearms and ammunition have been seized in Co Cavan following a search operation by An Garda Siochana.
It comes as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity, a spokesperson from the force said.
Following a search by Gardai in Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, firearms and ammunition have been found and seized.

The operation took place on Monday morning, December 12, and was conducted by Gardai attached to the Special Detective Unit.
A .22 rifle and a revolver were found during the operation, as well as a large quantity of ammunition with varying calibres.
Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this point.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: “As part of an investigation into dissident republican activity, Gardaí carried out a search operation in Co. Cavan and seized firearms and ammunition.
“On Monday morning, 12th December, 2022 Gardaí attached to the Special Detective Unit conducted a search operation in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. During the course of the search a .22 rifle and a revolver with a large quantity of ammunition with varying calibres were recovered.
“No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.”
