Gardai have launched an investigation after a woman’s body was discovered near a Luas track in Broombridge, Dublin 7.
The woman was found on Monday morning with tram services coming to a halt as emergency services and gardai attended the scene.
Her body was removed by medics and brought to a morgue in Dublin City Centre this afternoon.
A post-mortem will take place and the results will determine the course of the investigation.
A garda spokesperson confirmed: "Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a woman near the railway track in Broombridge, Dublin 7 this morning, Monday 24th October 2022.
"The body of the deceased was removed from the scene to the City Morgue this afternoon.
“A post-mortem will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation."
