Gardai are investigating a possible child kidnapping attempt which occurred in south Dublin on Monday.
It is believed that a young boy was approached by a man in a van who attempted to lure the youngster into the vehicle, according to the Sunday World. The incident happened at 3pm on Bath Avenue in Sandymount in Dublin 4.
It is understood that the boy was unharmed as he ran towards his home, which was nearby. A garda spokesman confirmed to Dublin Live that gardai are investigating the incident.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Donnybrook are investigating an alleged incident of an approach to a child that occurred on Bath Avenue, Dublin 4 on Monday 12th December, 2022 at approximately 3pm.
"Investigations ongoing."
