Gardaí are investigating a crash that left a female motorcyclist seriously injured in West Cork.
The woman, aged in her 50s, was injured in a crash between a motorcyclist and a car in Lisheenaleen on the R600 at Lisheenaleen, in Cork this Saturday afternoon, Cork Beo reported.
The West Cork Rapid Response, Cork County Fire Service and the National Ambulance service were all in attendance as well as the air ambulance, just before 1.30 pm.

The motorcyclist was brought from the scene by emergency services to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. It was reported that there were no other injuries.
The road in West Cork was closed by gardaí for a period of time following the collision.
A garda spokesperson said: "emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision between a motorcycle and a car that occurred on the R600 in Lisheenaleen, Co. Cork at approximately 1:20pm on Saturday 6th May 2023.
"The motorcyclist, a female in her 50s, was removed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
"The road was closed for a time but has since reopened. Investigations are ongoing."
