Gardai have launched an investigation after a city centre hostel housing refugees was damaged.
Far right groups were criticising the hostel on Parnell Street after a video of men arriving at it was circulated online. The damage occurred a day later.
A number of the hostel's windows were damaged by a hooded man with a hammer just after 10pm on Saturday night. A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating an incident of criminal damage that occurred at a commercial premises on Parnell St, Dublin at approximately 10:10pm on Sunday January 8, 2023. Enquiries are ongoing."
