Gardai investigate after 'dead man used in ploy to collect pension money' at Carlow post office

Gardai are investigating "all the circumstances" surrounding the discovery of a man's body in Co Carlow.

The elderly man was found dead in the Carlow town area on Friday morning.

His death is being treated as "unexplained" and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the Office of the State Pathologist have been sought.
