Gardai are hunting for a silver coloured saloon C-Class Mercedes Benz 161-D after a hijacking incident in Ballyfermot in Dublin this afternoon.
The terrifying incident happened at 3:10pm when a woman was followed to her car.
As she was getting into the vehicle, a man approached her and threatened her with a suspected black handgun.

He demanded she got out of the car and handed over the keys before he took off in the direction of Cloverhill.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have seen this silver-coloured saloon C-Class Mercedes Benz 161-D to contact Gardaí, or any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí at Clondalkin are appealing for witnesses following a hijacking incident at Park West Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 12 this afternoon Thursday 6th October 2022.
“At approximately 3:10 pm the owner of the vehicle was getting into her car, when a man approached her.
“He threatened the woman with a suspected black handgun and demanded she get out of the car.
“The woman got out of the car, a silver-coloured saloon C-Class Mercedes Benz 161-D and the suspect left the scene in the stolen car. He drove off in the direction of Cloverhill Road.
“Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have seen this silver-coloured saloon C-Class Mercedes Benz 161-D to contact Gardaí, or any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
“Gardaí are particularly appealing to motorists who may have any video footage (including dash cam) who were travelling on Park West Road, Cloverhill Road and the surrounding areas to make contact with investigating Gardaí.”
