An amount of stolen medicine worth just under €900 was uncovered inside a car in Kildare by Gardai on Tuesday.
The Road Policing Unit on duty in Kil were on patrol this week when they spotted a car making an illegal turn.
After the car was stopped, stolen medication, amounting to the value of €880 was found in the car. The total haul included 39 cylindrical containers of Caldesene medicated powder, 40 bottles of Benylin cough syrup and 32 bottles of Calpol.

One of the passengers in the car was the subject of four bench warrants, as well as two committal warrants and was subsequently arrested.
In a statement on Twitter, alongside a picture of the seized goods, Garda Info said: “Naas RPU were on patrol in Kill when they saw this car making an illegal turn.
“The car was stopped and stolen goods to the Value of €880 were found.
“Furthermore, one of the passengers in the car was the subject of four Bench Warrants and two Committal Warrants, and was arrested.”
