Gardaí concerned as they launch search to find missing Mayo woman

Gardaí are concerned about the welfare of Bernie Muldoon who is missing from her home in Mayo since Friday.

They are currently seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 38-year-old Muldoon, who went missing on June 2 in Ballina, Mayo.

On Friday, Bernie left Ballina to travel to Dublin and stayed overnight in Dundrum before leaving on Saturday morning to go into the city centre. She has not been seen since.

It is not known what Bernie was wearing when she was last seen but has been described by Gardaí as being approximately 5 foot 3 inches in height with a slim figure and has dark hair and blue eyes.

Gardaí and Bernie's family are concerned for her wellbeing and they have appealed for anyone with any information on Bernie's whereabouts to contact Garda.

In a statement, Gardaí said: "Bernie left Ballina on Friday to travel to Dublin and stayed overnight in Dundrum. She left Dundrum on Saturday morning to go into the city centre and has not been seen since.

"Bernie is described as being approximately 5 foot 3 inches in height with a slim figure, has dark hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what Bernie was wearing when last seen and Gardaí and Bernie's family are concerned for her wellbeing.

"Anyone with any information on Bernie's whereabouts are asked to contact Ballina Garda station on 096 20560, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."
