A man was taking to hospital after a stabbing incident in the early hours of yesterday.
Gardai believe that the victim, in his 30s, may have known his attacker when he was injured at a house in Father Murphy Park, Robertstown, Kildare at around 2.30am.
He was taken to Tallaght University Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition. Gardai have yet to make any arrests in the case.

But local councillor Daragh Fitzpatrick urged people to come forward and speak to detectives.
He told us: “It’s a shocking incident and I wish the injured man a speedy recovery. Robertstown is a small area and I encourage anyone with information to come forward and root out those responsible for the attack.
“This behaviour has no place in our village or in society.”
Yesterday, gardai preserved the scene for a technical examination. A spokesman said: “Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or to any person with information to come forward. Gardai are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area of Robertstown between 1am and 4am to make this footage available to them.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
