Gardai arrest three people in relation to alleged match-fixing at League of Ireland games

The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau has placed three people under arrest in connection to alleged match-fixing at League of Ireland games.

The trio were made up of two men in their 30s based in Dublin as well as another man in his 30s who has been described as also being based in the east.

A Garda press release said: "The Anti-Bribery & Corruption Unit, Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) of An Garda Síochána has today, Thursday 15th September 2022, carried out a day of action in relation to alleged match-fixing in the League of Ireland.
