Garda Checkpoints: Driver arrested by officers doing 'standard checks' for dangerous rule break

A driver has been arrested for a ‘dangerous’ rule break in pouring rain over the weekend.

The Naas Roads Policing Unit was carrying out speed checks on the M7 when they detected a car travelling 60km/h over the speed limit.

They were driving on a road where the limit was 120km/h and they were driving at 180km/h.
