Garda appears in court charged with harassing two female officers

Garda Galway

A 40-year-old Garda has appeared in custody before a court in Galway charged with harassing two female officers.

Michael Mannion, from Tooreena, Renvyle, Connemara, is charged with harassing the first female Garda on dates between August 13 and September 13, 2019, contrary to Section 10 (1) and (6) of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

He is also charged with harassing the second female Garda on dates between August 8 and November 23, 2019, contrary to the same section of the 1997 Act.
