Garang Kuol is determined 'by all means necessary' to bounce back from a difficult chapter after signing for Newcastle United. The former A-League wonderkid joined the Magpies in January and was almost immediately loaned to Hearts for the remainder of the campaign.
Kuol became the youngest player since Pele to feature in a World Cup knockout match after he was introduced as a substitute in the Socceroos in their round-of-16 defeat to eventual champions Argentina. However, the 18-year-old endured the first difficult spell of his professional career in the Scottish Premiership.
The Magpies loanee was largely restricted to cameo appearances, with a first start coming in an unfamiliar central-midfield role in a heavy home defeat to Rangers in February. The highly-rated teenager would go on to make just nine appearances for Hearts, with his only goal coming in stoppage-time against the same opponents last month.
