Gang of thugs caught smashing cars on quiet Edinburgh street in CCTV footage

This is the shocking moment a gang of thugs started smashing car windscreens on a quiet residential Scots street.

The video shows a car pulling up to an address in Edinburgh before one person gets out and starts aiming an object at the windscreen of a vehicle.

The victim's son captured the horrifying moment on CCTV before posting the clip on TikTok, reports Edinburgh Live.

In another clip, posted from the same account, two more people can be seen running to the end of the street at night before using a weapon to smash another car's windscreen.

One of the videos appears to show a person getting out a car and throwing something at another vehicle (TikTok)

The first incident happened just before midnight on Wednesday, February 23 - while the second happened at the same time on Friday, February 25.

The first clip went viral and was viewed by 54,000 people, while the second, posted just a day ago, has been seen by nearly 6,000 people.

Both have the captions: "Track these people down" and "Expose them."

In both videos, the people involved appear to be wearing all-black clothing and the person getting out of the car has a balaclava on to hide their identity.

In each instance, the people responsible make a speedy exit from the scene.
