A fight broke out between a group of men armed with baseball bats.
Police were called to the disused Shorrocks Hill site on Lifeboat Road, in Formby, after reports of a fight. Officers say there was a fight between a group of men, armed with baseball bats an other weapons, at around 4pm on Monday, December 5.
A cordon was put in place, mainly surrounding the carpark of the former nightclub, and detectives began their investigations. They later arrested two men, aged 30 and 32, from the Formby area, on suspicion of affray.

The two men were also taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries. A spokesperson for the force said: "Two men have been arrested following an assault in Formby this afternoon Monday 5 December.
"Just before 4pm officers received a report of a fight between a group of men armed with baseball bats and other weapons outside Shorrocks Hill on Lifeboat Road. Following further investigations officers later arrested two men aged 30 and 32 from the area of Formby on suspicion of affray.
"They have both been taken to hospital for treatment. A police scene has been established in the area whilst officers continue their enquiries.
