Gang of eight, including travel agents, arrested for kidnapping and robbing brothers from Punjab in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Mumbai Police recently arrested eight members of a gang, including three travel agents, for kidnapping and robbing two brothers from Punjab of their gold chains, foreign currencies, and their clothes worth Rs11.29 lakhs.

Saki Naka police said the two brothers--Abhishek Kumar (24) and brother Himanshu Kumar--were kidnapped, robbed, and thrown out of the car on the Pune Express Highway after they were called to Mumbai on the pretext of introducing themselves to the immigration officials to get visa stamped to travel to the US. From the arrested eight accused, the police have found out that the gang had earlier duped at least two people who were called to Kurla, and Andheri was robbed similarly.
