A floorer who ripped off customers had sank into financial difficulties during the pandemic, a court heard. Stuart Glenister, 54, of Main Street, Gamston, took their cash, and found himself, "robbing Peter in order to pay Paul", Nottingham Crown Court heard.
Glenister took money for jobs and didn't complete them. His first victim paid £777 on his credit card for flooring which was never delivered. The money was returned by his credit card company.
The retiree, from Radcliffe-on-Trent, told police the incident caused him an extreme amount of upset and distress. It has taken up a large amount of his time to resolve.
